Based on the National Curriculum
The tasks and activities include National Curriculum based tasks for Key Stage 1, including topics such as sequencing, problem solving, statistics, comparing numbers and adding money.
Boosts S.T.E.A.M skills
The Sweet Summer project uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths to inspire inquiry and curiosity in children.
Introduces entrepreneurship
Children get the opportunity to learn business basics, bolster effective communication and be introduced to financial literacy.

Summer Learning Loss is where children experience loss of significant knowledge in reading and maths over the summer break. Statistics show that 2-3 hours of learning per week during the summer holidays is enough to prevent any learning loss.
In the Sweet Summer Project, children will have fun making lemonade and can challenge themselves to make other sweet treats. The fun does not stop there, children get the chance to set up a Lemonade Stand which they can sell or pretend sell to friends and family.

The activity book engages in a hands-on way using a
simple lemonade stand sale. There is a banquet of
learning opportunities in the project with
age-appropriate challenge.
