  • How do I place an order for multiple gifts?
Every Little Genius is special to us and we take pride in the fact that we send a personalised note with each order, So, we ask that each gift order is placed as a single order. As postage is free this won’t incur any additonal cost, it just makes sure that we are sending your Little Genius the right personalised note.
  • Should I include the gift recipient’s email in my order?
We would recommend you provide the gift recipient’s email address so we can send useful information on allergens and ingredients. No contact will be made until the first kit has been delivered – we don’t want to ruin the surprise!
  • What ages are the kits aimed at?
Our kits and learning experiences are designed for children aged 5-11 years old/ Key Stage 1. Younger children will require more support in preparing the recipes and completing the S.T.E.M activities. Older children will be able to make most recipes and complete the S.T.E.M activities independently. You’ll know best what level your Little Genius is at. We design our recipes and learning experiences so that there is robost fun for everyone, even the family time activities.

  • What if my child has allergies?
We email all customers before we send out that month’s kit with the ingredients and the details of any allergens, so that you have the opportunity to skip that month. We will always try our best to find an alternative if you do not want to skip for any reason. Our kits are packed in an environment where nuts and products containing gluten are handled. As much as we would love to give absolute guarantees on this we are currently unable to so we would always advise you to err on the side of caution.
  • Will my child need help making the recipes?
Yes, though how much depends on your child’s age and ability. You will be the best judge of how much help your little cook will need but we come from the philosophy of trusting kids to know their limits and to ask for help when they need it. Having said that you should supervise at all times and give particular assistance when using the oven/hob and knives. Check out our blog on cooking skills by age for a bit more info on this.
  • Do I need any special equipment?
Our illustrated recipe cards include the equipment you will need for each recipe. The only special equipment you may occasionaly need is a food processor or blender. Other than that just the kitchen basics such as mixing bowls, spatulas and measuring spoons will be needed for kitchen based learning experiences.
